White Dental Fillings

Natural-Looking, Strong Fillings

Many patients are familiar with the silver-mercury amalgam fillings that have been used in dental practices for years, and many still use them. We no longer use this type of filling, as metal does not bond tightly to a tooth's surface, allowing decay to eventually set in. And many patients did not like the appearance of dark, metallic fillings in their mouths, which are very noticeable and not attractive. We use only advanced composite resin fillings. They bond tightly to tooth structure, reducing the chance of cavities occurring. They can be made to match the shade of the tooth, producing a very pleasing, attractive smile. They contain no metals, and they actually add strength to a tooth to reduce incidences of cracking or fracturing of the healthy tooth structure.
