Children's Dentistry

Kids Dentist Matthews NCWe Love Kids, and They Love Us!
Our doctors are talented at making your children feel at ease for their dental work. Whether pre-schooler or teenager, all of our young patients enjoy their visits. We use the latest techniques and developments in children's dentistry, employed with thoughtfulness and compassion. With every visit, we teach and encourage children to follow good daily dental hygiene, so they will have their natural teeth for a lifetime. We enjoy having them as patients from their first appointment at age two or three, and enjoy seeing them grow and change each year.

Preventing Dental Fears
We have set a goal for ourselves of having all generations of children grow up without any fear of dental treatment. As many of our young patients' parents have told us, we are achieving this objective. Like other families, you will also find our office a happy place for your children to visit. No matter the concern for your six-year-old or teenager, we can help to ease their fears.

Implant Dentistry

Implant Dentistry Matthews NC
Beautiful Replacements for Any Number of Missing Teeth
A full set of teeth adds to your confidence and gives you a great smile. Dental implants work well to replace any missing teeth – from the front to the back of your mouth. You will regain the full ability to chew all types of foods with teeth that look and feel like they are your own.

Implants are different from bridges or removable dentures. They do not sit on top of the gums. Rather, they come up through the gums, giving the life-like appearance of an original tooth. Implants replace one or many missing teeth. Even patients with no teeth will benefit from implants, as they replace slipping dentures with secure teeth that don't move when speaking or eating and they do not need to be removed at bedtime. We take care of the entire process, so you do not need to be referred to another office. We handle the entire procedure, from implanting the post to fabricating and placing the crown.

Invsialign Dentist

Invisalign Dentist Matthews NC
A Fast, Virtually Invisible Orthodontic Option
When we tell patients that we can straighten their teeth in only 9 - 15 months, most of them think we are kidding! But no kidding, with Invisalign™ invisible aligners, not only can you change overcrowding, wide gaps, underbite, overbite, or crossbite, but you can do so
Clear Dental Braces - Orthodontics Matthews NCwithout anyone noticing you are straightening your teeth.

The Invisalign system uses 3-D computer imaging to outline a complete treatment plan. It starts with the current position of your teeth and progresses to the final alignment of each tooth. From this plan, thermoplastic aligners are made that are nearly invisible when placed over your teeth. They provide an exact fit, so they can gently start to move your teeth to the correct position.

Approximately every two weeks, you change the aligners to the next set to continue the progress of correcting your teeth. Treatment time is based on an individual's need and personal goals. Time spent in the dental chair for evaluation is minimal, as you only need to come in every one to two months.

If you only need minor corrections with crowding or spacing, Invisalign now offers Express 5 and Express 10. Perhaps you have had orthodontics at an earlier age and a relapse has begun. These Invisalign express products may be right for you. They realign minor issues with only 5 - 10 sets of aligners. In six months or even less, you can have straight teeth.

We also feature Propel™, which allows orthodontic treatment to be faster. Propel treatment takes just minutes and is done in the beginning or middle of orthodontic treatment.

Consider the Advantages

Clear Dental Braces Matthews NCTraditional braces also straighten teeth, but the Invisalign system has advantages. As they are nearly invisible, they are only noticeable if someone looks extremely closely at your teeth. Instead of the appearance of metal on your teeth that sometimes makes it embarrassing or awkward to smile, you can retain your confidence with these aligners during active treatment.

These thermoplastic aligners are more comfortable than metal braces. They are all in one piece for each set of upper and lower teeth and can be temporarily and easily removed for eating or cleaning. There are no irritating wires, metal brackets, or headgear that can create discomfort.

You don't need to make changes in your diet, as you can easily remove the aligners when eating and can properly clean your teeth afterwards. There are absolutely no food restrictions during active treatment. It makes it easy to take care of your teeth to keep them free of plaque, with no braces bonded to your teeth that can interfere with proper brushing and flossing.

Seeing is believing. Below is one of our actual Invisalign patients.

Dental Veneers Dentist

Dental Veneers Dentist Matthews NCA Brand New Smile in Only Two Visits!
Perhaps you have embarrassing problems with your teeth that you assume cannot be corrected. If your teeth are misshapen, deeply discolored, or have wide gaps, your solution may be porcelain veneers. They can quickly and painlessly give crooked teeth a uniform appearance as if you have worn braces for years. Veneers are very durable, thin sheets of dental ceramic. They are tightly bonded to natural teeth, correcting crookedness or misshapenness or wide spaces. They easily produce a very attractive smile.

If you only have a cracked or chipped tooth, veneers can also be applied to conceal the problem. The veneer can be made to match the shade of surrounding teeth, so the restoration looks completely natural.
Porcelain Dental Veneers - Lumineers

Another type of veneer is Lumineers™, which are as thin and translucent as a contact lens. Because of their thinness, little or no tooth reduction is required. And most of the time, you don't need a shot! You can find out more about Lumineers at www.lumineers.com.

Carolinas Dental Center is an independent reseller and is not affiliated with or sponsored by Den-Mat Holdings/LUMINEERS.
